Learn MoreDr. Ariana Mohammadi is an expert consultant in forensic and legal linguistics. She has a PhD in linguistics from the University of Florida and is also a licensed legal practitioner in the province of Ontario. Dr. Mohammadi provides forensic services in legal cases in which linguistic evidence plays a role. Using advanced tools and techniques in applied linguistics, corpus linguistics, and sociolinguistics, she analyzes linguistic data and provides confidential, yet independent and impartial, written reports. When linguistic evidence contributes to your theory of the case, she works within the criteria set out in R v Mohan to provide expert reports and testimony and help you build a strong legal case. Dr. Mohammadi works with small and large law firms, corporations, and organizations in the public and private sector and provides expert witness services throughout Ontario and at all court levels.

We provide impartial expert opinion in a confidential manner. While our expert opinion is based on linguistic scientific facts, our analysis of the case is further informed by the pertinent Rules of Evidence.
We provide specialized, custom-curated expert reports for both plaintiffs and defendants. Our expert reports meet the requirements set out in Rule 53.03 of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure.
We provide expert witness testimony at all court levels, including federal and provincial courts and tribunals. We participate in trial testimony anywhere within the province of Ontario.
